Daivari for title shot?

For what it’s worth, Daivari is being heavily considered for a shot at the No Limits Division Championship early on in the Twisted Steel tour. Perhaps even as early as this Wednesday in Bordeaux.

More Insider News!

The latest news coming from our inside source is that due to much dispute over naming a number one contender to the AWR Championship, it seems that perhaps the stars of AWR will need to prove themselves during the tour to earn that coveted title shot. The Latest reports suggest that it is likely that Sylvan Grienier and Rene Dupre (reforming the La Resistance tag team) will face off against another great tag team in Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas in Bordeaux on Wednesday night.

While things could still change, our inside source assures us that this match seems very likely.

Insider News!

With just over a week to go before the Twisted Steel tour officially begins, AWRwrestling.com has been able to get some nuggets of information from somebody working closely with the upper ranks of AWR management.

Apparently there is huge talk on who will face Rene Dupree for the AWR Championship. It’s almost certain that Rene will defend his title on the first show in Bordeaux, France. According to our insider, there has been some disagreements during meetings with the two highest ranked management members wanting to offer the shot to different people. From what we hear, both Booker T and Scott Steiner are being considered, although Shelton Benjamin is also in the running. Perhaps we can say it’s down to these three? Not long to wait to find out.

Also it has been said that high-flyers Shawn Maxer and PAC have requested to be team-mates for each other during the tour. We at AWRwrestling.com would not be surprised to see these two form a team. It would be a smart move by AWR management. Having said that however, it would also be a fine singles match pitting Maxer against PAC aswell.

We will keep you posted on any more insider news we receive over the coming days.

Rene’s Days as Champion Numbered?

One of the big news going into the “Twisted Steel” tour is the fact that Rene Dupre and Sylvan Greinier will re-unite, reforming their ‘Resistance’ team. However, Rene is still the AWR Champion and he will be expected to defend his title? Rumours have it that when AWR lands in Bordeaux for the first show of the tour, Rene will be told who will be challenging him that night for the title. However, AWR management are keeping it under tight wraps as to who the challenger will be.

Perhaps the number 1 contender will be a former World Champion. Booker T and Scott Steiner’s names come to mind. Or even The Sandman who held the ECW World Title in the past. Other likely candidates include Daivari, who has been very impressive in recent years. The last title he held was the X-Division Title in TNA Wrestling. And Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas could also challenge the champ. The wildcard is Sylvan Greinier, Rene’s tag team partner. Perhaps AWR will be looking to throw a spanner in the works? Unfortunately we don’t expect to find out until November 10th in Bordeaux along with everyone else. However if we at AWRwrestling.com hear anything more on this, we’ll be sure to break the news here.

The World’s Greatest?

They called themselves the World’s Greatest Tag Team. They are the team of Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. The two have been WWE Tag Team Champions in the past and now they look to get a name for themselves in AWR. But they have competition because they’re not the only team re-uniting. Rene Dupre and Sylvan Greiner will also re-unite as part of the “Twisted Steel” tour in France this November.

It would be highly un-likely for the two teams NOT to cross paths over the eight-date tour. The question is, who really is the World’s Greatest Team? It’s likely we’ll find out next month.

Its all about the Benjamin!

In breaking news just announced, Shelton Benjamin will be part of the “Twisted Steel” tour in France this November. This comes days after the announcement that Charlie Haas will also be a part of the tour. Benjamin and Haas debuted in WWE several years ago as a tag team (known as The World’s Greatest Tag Team) and enjoyed great success there, becoming tag team champions. With both these men back in the same locker room, does this mean the reformed La Resistance (Rene Dupree & Sylvan Greiner) have found their opponents? Perhaps, but only time will tell!

Daivari to be part of “Twisted Steel”

Former WWE Superstar and more recently TNA X Division Champion, ‘Shiek’ Daivari has signed on to be a part of the upcoming AWR “Twisted Steel” Tour in France this November. This comes just days after the announcement that Charlie Haas would also be a part of the tour, and days BEFORE another huge announcement.

AWR are delighted to have Daivari as part of the upcoming tour.
